  • 612 618 pornographic materials (20%)
  • A total of 3 053 984 pieces of content removed

Asian Trend

The tightening of regulations in Indonesia aligns with a broader Asian trend: regional markets are intensifying control over illegal gambling to protect users and stabilize financial flows. Similar measures are already being implemented in Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Conclusion

The Indonesian government aims to block citizens' access to online gambling by suppressing the activities of operators and intermediaries. The scale of the cleanup suggests that Southeast Asian countries are shifting from selective blocking to a systemic fight against illegal online gambling.
