iGaming advertising trends: growth and numbers

AppsFlyer analysts have presented a report on the popularity of iGaming applications and the advertising costs of operators over the past year. The basic data is impressive:
  • 🟢The number of downloads of online casino applications increased by 102% compared to 2023.
  • 🟢Downloads of online betting apps increased by 93% over the same period.
  • 🟢In 2024, operators spent $65 billion on advertising, which is 5% more than a year earlier.
  • 🟢The Australian iGaming advertising market showed the highest growth — almost 7%, while the US market declined by the same 7%.
  • 🟠The largest declines were recorded in the advertising markets of France (-14%) and Japan (-23%).

Previously, the peak of iGaming was considered to be covid 2022, when the global online gambling market was estimated at $72.8 billion. However, in 2024, its volume reached $97.7 billion, an increase of 34.2% in just two years.
